Mortgage Adviser (self-employed)

We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Mortgage Adviser to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping clients navigate the mortgage process and securing the best financing options for their needs. As a Mortgage Adviser, you will provide expert guidance and support throughout the mortgage application journey.

The job role:

  • Assess clients’ financial situations and understand their mortgage needs
  • Provide personalised mortgage advice based on clients’ requirements and market conditions
  • Research and analyse mortgage products from various lenders to find the best options for clients
  • Prepare and present mortgage applications, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected and submitted
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mortgage products, interest rates, and industry trends
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, lenders, and real estate professionals
  • Educate clients on the mortgage process, terms, and conditions
  • Willingness to attend occasional company benefit fairs and in-person surgeries for employees – building valuable new relationships to drive business growth
  • Adhere to compliance regulations and company policies throughout the lending process
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance expertise.

Skills and background required:

  • Proven track record as a Mortgage Adviser
  • Strong knowledge of all mortgage products, lending criteria, and market trends
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyse financial information and make informed recommendations
  • Proficiency in mortgage software and financial analysis tools
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. CeMAP)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and financial advice.
